This was designed with my dad in mind - as Fathers' day is upon us!
My dad has allowed me to take over the entire extension of his house - it used to be the 'family room' - it is now the Painted Dog Bakehouse!
This one took on many versions and lots of recipe testing went into that caramel before we got here. (HUGE thanks to Abi of Le Choux for helping me out with that one!)
It is perfect for any whisky* lover out there.
Toasted pecans turned into a beautiful spread sprinkled with chunks of more chopped, toasted pecans - rolled up and twisted into our classic swirl. This might be enough for some - but not us!
Thick unctuous whisky spiked caramel is injected into various points to create the most epic of babka experiences.
The rich nuttiness of pecans paired with the heady malty notes of whisky. Not for the faint of heart.
Contains wheat (gluten), nuts (Pecans),eggs, milk and soya. Made in a kitchen that handles nuts and sesame.
Our babkas are baked fresh once a week and dispatched to you via APC Overnight - which should almost always arrive with you the following day although please note this is not guaranteed.
Order cut-off is Sunday 10 pm for dispatch the following week. Orders will be automatically set to the next available dispatch unless an alternative dispatch date is selected at checkout.
Best enjoyed within 7 days of dispatch.
Product can be frozen on day of receipt for up to 1 month. Defrost at room temperature overnight.
Store your babka at room temperature, covered well.
Small babkas can be comfortably shared between 3 - 4 people... but you don't have to!
Large babkas serve 6-8 depending on how generously you slice them.
